will a bead be affective?

will a bead be affective it this cold 70 degree water? is there a way for me to put one on a drop shot? or will an old fassion Texas rig work just as well. I know i can put a bead on a TR but will it work as well as a drop shot. i have noticed that a lot of people swear by the drop shot rig and i am dying to try it out.

You could try it, adding it on the leader between the weight and the hook but I don’t see it making much of a clicking sound there. I wouldn’t add it above the hook because it could effect the action of your bait and your hook positioning. Hey if you try it and catch fish great sometimes experimenting and giving the fish a new look can pay off.
