I am a bride over 40-Should I wear a veil with a blusher, and why or why not?

I am getting married in a few weeks to the most wonderful man, and neither one of us have been married before.
Should I wear a veil with a blusher and have my fiance lift this before the ceremony, or should I just have a simple, elbow length veil?

The veil is lifted from the Bride’s face either in the beginning of the ceremony by her escort/Father (Who gives this Bride in marriage?) or before the Bride and Groom kiss at the end of the ceremony.
