Can I coat chocolate truffles in pearl powder to make chocolate pearls?

I have had these from L’Artisan Chocolate and wanted to have a go at my own. I was wondering if anyone had tried this and do you think that I should dip them in chocolate first to give a hard shell? Any help would be much appreciated.
Pearl powder is an edible powder which has a pearl like lustre.

pearl powder?? I’ve looked that up and the only reference I can find to pearl powder is in skin care creams for acne, wrinkles etc.
